What is DAS?
The BC Decision Aid System (BCDAS) provides real time, location based models for managing key pests and diseases in BC orchards. Using weather data and regional research, BCDAS helps growers, field staff, and horticultural advisors make more informed decisions about monitoring, timing, and risks throughout the season. Work is currently underway to bring long‑requested support for wine grapes into the platform, beginning with the integration of phenology, powdery mildew, and mealybug models.
Our goal is simple: give BC growers the right information at the right time - improving fruit quality, reducing sprays to save money, and helping farm businesses run more efficiently.
